Password Manager and Form Filler - JD COOL!

The best way to describe this application is to describe my experience with it. Obviously, being the IT geek that I so adamantly proclaim not to be, I spend the majority of my work day on the web.

Need an answer? Search the web!

What's new? Search the web!

Check your mail? Use the web!

So as time goes by you tend to wonder off into distant 'worlds' that you did not know existed. You find fascinating articles and amazing newsletters. You want to join various groups, forums and check your daily routine sites.

My initial frustration began with internet banking. Each time that you log onto your bank's website, you need to enter the excessively long and completely illogical user id and pin and secret phrase and account number and whatever other means of frustration that can be conjoured up by the cruel security experts.

Knowing that you cannot possibly remember all this info for each site, I decided to keep a small log of various logins. Very nice, I thought! I wonder if anyone else has thought of that?

mmm...seems like a number of people had...but no one quite as well as RoboForm.

Heres what you can do with RoboForm:

Manage Passwords
Fill online forms with one click
Encrypt passwords
Generate secure passwords
Backup and Synchronise passwords between computers
Fight Phishing and Defeat Keyloggers

So now, I keep a list of all the sites that I frequently visit that require logging in, in RoboForm. Every time I have to fill in a new for online, I use RoboForm. If I restore my PC for any reason or buy a new one, I automatically synchronise this information using RoboForm. RoboFormworks on most browsers and is available for free (with limitations). I downloaded the free trial, which has no expiry and ended up buying the Pro version very quickly. Do yourself a favour. Get your free trial now!

MP3 Players

The MP3 player is the most recent in an evolution of music formats that have helped consumers enjoy their tunes. Records, cassette tapes and CDs -- none of these earlier music formats provide the convenience and control that MP3 players deliver. With an MP3 player in hand or pocket, consumer can create personalized music lists and carry thousands of songs wherever they go. We must see the influence of music in order to believe in it, but here comes the question skeptics would definitely ask: how can we see or recognize something unobservable, especially when it happens online or in a land based casino? I give ten percent to every skeptical question because not even one theory can be one hundred percent reliable, what leaves us with ninety percent assurance. Audiobooks for mp3 players are specifically formatted for mp3 player use. Other audiobook format includes CD, digital download, and cassette tape. Downloadable audiobooks can be played either on your computer or on a compatible mp3 player like the Apple iPod. Mp3 is a popular format to store audio and has the advantage of being very compact. It has been known because of music. But its versatility never stop there, since it can also store books. Many reputable publishers of printed books have realized the fast growing market of Audiobooks for mp3 players and for this reason that they started to record all of their bestseller and books that sold reasonably well. All of that stored music and the MP3 player itself fit into a device that, in some cases, weighs less than one ounce. Portability is a large factor in the popularity of the MP3, considering the ease of transportation in comparison to a CD player and CD storage case. In addition, some devices provide additional technology, like video and photo viewing, alarm and calendar functions, and even cell phone and Internet service. In this article, you'll learn more about the technology inside MP3 player and the different types of players available. You'll also find out how to get tunes and how you can accessorize your player. Windows 7 - Which Version?

Windows XP was launched with only 2 editions - Home and Professional editions and it was easy to take decision as home users used home edition and business users used professional edition.
Windows Vista, which was released with six different product editions which made the choice a bit complicated for the users. Many users were not able to understand the difference among the various editions. Microsoft has continued the trend with Windows 7 as it is also launched with same six product editions but with slightly different names. We will discuss the various editions in this article so that it is not a problem with anyone to choose the one according to their needs.

Windows 7 Starter:

Windows 7 Starter comes preinstalled with many low-end computers without enough processing power for other editions. It is the lowest-end product edition of Windows 7. Strangely, the desktop wallpaper of this edition cannot be changed. Moreover, neither Windows Aero interface is included in this edition, nor Aero Peek and Shake are its part. Windows Media Player is included but users have to compromise with Windows Media Center.

Windows 7 Home Basic:

It is more or less similar to Started. The major difference is that this Home Basic edition will not be sold in mainstream markets like United States. It will come pre-installed with low-end PCs in developing countries, like India. The system requirements for both are similar.

Windows 7 Home Premium:

Home Premium will come pre-installed on new computers after the October 22nd, the release date of Windows 7. This edition will be preferred by a huge majority of computer users. All the desktop enhancements that Windows 7 has to offer are included in this edition. Unlike in the Starter and Home Basic editions, Aero, and Flip 3D are part of this edition. Advanced features for laptop and portable devices are being offered through Windows Mobility Center with touch input and multi-touch functionality. It has got live thumbnails as well as the ability to customize all aspects of the user interface. Multimedia features such as Windows Media Center, DVD Maker, and Windows Media Player are available. All the games that Windows 7 has to offer are included.
Windows 7 Professional:

It is meant for small to mid-size companies who need advanced networking features, such as Active Directory. Features like network backup, an encrypting file System, and the ability to connect to and control a remote PC via Remote Desktop are being offered in this edition. It also allows users to install and run applications that only work in Windows XP.
Windows 7 Enterprise:

This edition is meant for the enterprise sector. Apart from basic features, it includes additional features like Multilingual User Interface, BitLocker Drive Encryption, and UNIX application support.

Windows 7 Ultimate:

This edition is especially meant for computer enthusiast. It includes all the Windows 7 features. Windows 7 Ultimate gives user access to BitLocker and BitLocker To Go, which enables one to encrypt not only the drives of their system but also the removable hard drive and portable media, like a USB thumb drive. It is not meant for home users.

10 Reasons to buy a Kindle

It’s great if you travel. If you travel, the Kindle is a godsend. I’m the kind of guy who stocks up books for even short trips, fully expecting to finish War and Peace, Notes from Underground, and four Clive Cussler novels on a plane trip from Pittsburgh to Columbus. With the Kindle you have a full complement of books available at any time.

2. You can put anything you want on it. You can easily email DOC, TXT, and PDF files to your own Kindle email address for conversion to the Kindle – but that costs 10 cents.

3. It looks great. The Kindle 2 is an amazing improvement over the Kindle 1. If every manufacturer took cues on build quality and product life cycles from Amazon, we’d all be better off.

4. It feels great. This new version has excellent button placement and is thin enough to cut cheese. It’s eminently portable.

5. Almost any book at any time. Except for a few esoteric reference books I’ve found just about everything I need on the Kindle store. As more and more publishers go ebook – and I think an iPhone Kindle reader will truly blow the last bottlenecks out – this excuse will become ineffective.

6. It works in inclement conditions. I was in Mexico with the wife and kids and I wanted to test the Kindle out near the pool. Three books later and I felt like the laziest high-tech maven in the world. The ladies next to me brought twenty softcover novels with them and all of them got wet and messy. The Kindle worked like a dream.

7. The bookmarking and highlighting systems are vastly improved. The original Kindle had two methods for note-taking: you could select text and add a note or you could add a book mark. The new system refines those considerably and adds visual feedback whenever you take a note.

8. The dictionary is now in-line. When you move to a word, its definition appears at the bottom of the page. If you wanted a definition before, you had to pop out to a separate page.

9. You can almost see and understand the illustrations in 16 greyscale shades. Note the “almost.” However, it’s better than 4 shades, which was abysmal.

10. It is the future. Sorry, it is. Amazon nailed the ebook and they’re going to own the space for the next few years. Maybe they’ll pull a Netflix and sell the software to OEMs, which is fine by me. But ebooks are what we’ll be reading while we rocket to Mars in 2050. Or we’ll have our robotic concubines read them to us.

HDTV - How to buy advice!

Buying a HDTV set for your home can be a difficult process. It's hard to choose when there are so many different brands and features of HDTV sets. Usually, people just listen to salespeople at the television retailer and buy what they suggest, but this method is not the best. Let us look at better solutions.
Do not allow a salesmen in the retail store to pressure you into purchasing the most popular HDTV set or the most expensive. You need to remember your situation, and what HDTV set will best suit your needs, the available space in your home and your budget.

Before going forward to buy a HDTV set, we would consider it's supremacy compared to the other similar types available. Does it have internal set top boxes that allow you to get cable or satellite? Also do you know whether it has access to all television channels or cable or satellite.

You will buy latest and best HDTV set, if you know what is needed for home, from a television retailer or online. This is important because just making a saving is not the best route, if it doesn't give you a set that meets your day to day needs.

The next point in buying a HDTV set is to take a look at your budget. Make sure you set a budget about how much you want to spend on a HDTV set. This is important, as in the world today, when it is easier to put it all on plastic, we can easily accrue a large balance from the TV. So make sure this important point is factored into the equation.

First of all availability of space is a main and practical criteria before going in for buying a HD-TV set. And then you might want to consider where the last one was purchased, whether they to have the new and latest sets available. We are usually attracted to buy big ones, however, make sure that it can fit your space.

HD now available in attractive design and with different colors to decorate home. The colors available are silver, pink, black from many manufacturers, though not all sets come in these colors.

Nothing worse than purchasing a new HD TV set to find that it will not fit into the back of your car. Investigate the possibility of delivery by the store, you maybe able to negotiate free delivery or pay a small fee. This of course is not an issue if you buy online, where the online store will arrange the delivery to your home!

The internet has another great purpose and that is that it can save a lot of money compared with buying in a retail store. The savings the stores make by having a web site and instead of operating from retail space, operate online find that they can offer better prices. This obviously can only benefit you in the long run, so make the most of it. Would you like the latest HDTV without paying what your neighbour might of had to? Check out here to find and buy HD TV. www.BuyHDTVStore.info
